Gary Edwards

Gary, one of the founding Directors of Primeast, specialises in the area of leading, managing and motivating virtual or remote teams – what leaders need to do to move them to the high performance that fast changing business environments demand.

Since 1989 Gary has been leading and developing programmes that address key business issues as a consultant and external facilitator with senior teams and project teams with both a UK and international dimension. His experience has given him clear insights into how teams work, what they require to succeed – including not only effectiveness in the requirements of Leadership, but also how excellence in ‘Team Followership’ brings about outstanding results.

His passion for unlocking what individuals can contribute through insightful, empathic leadership has added value to many people and their organisations. Gary’s experience includes three years with Operation Raleigh, the worldwide expedition charity for young people as the UK selection and training team manager. Juggling the priorities of different stakeholders – staff, commercial sponsors, volunteers, candidates and local authorities – a constant challenge in motivation and delivery of results. Selecting the right people and training them well was vital to the success of the projects in countries around the world.

Gary has applied the Faust methodology with many business teams including a major utility and in the media industry. The thinking behind EI and its supporting methodologies are essential aspects of Primeast’s approach to consulting.
