This Leadership and Performance Coaching Programme is a highly effective and powerful means to develop your in-house coaching capability. You will benefit from our professionally trained coaches creating a pool of your own skilled people, who will be able to further transform and develop your leaders and managers.

They will have a toolkit of approaches for sustainable learning and development and have the confidence to transform leaders and managers within the organisation in the pursuit of the wider agenda. This all comes with the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) stamp of approval and access to their student resources. For those who wish to pursue this to a higher level, there is the added value of gaining credits that may be used to upgrade to a diploma or other qualification.ILM Development logo

Furthermore, we can help participants develop a sustainable framework for coaching in the organisation beyond the programme.

Audience

Pre-requisites for undertaking the programme include a high level of commitment from both individual and organisation. Participants should possess a high level of communication skills and self-awareness, have a genuine interest in helping others to succeed, be non-judgmental, and able to work with a diverse range of individuals. They need to be willing to be coached, coach others, engage in coaching supervision and explore their competence and capabilities with others on the programme. Participants must be committed to take part in all the formal sessions prior to assessment, and undertake a minimum of 38 hours of self-managed learning. Programme content

The programme will be a mixture of core modules, interspersed with professional development activities of a practical nature that are self-managed and small group supported.

1 Introduction and coaching fundamentals

2 Coaching skills and techniques

3 Factors influencing coaching results

4 Sustaining performance improvement – learning in action

5 1500 word assignment

Additional continuous professional development modules are recommended as a way to further develop and expand performance and ability. Development seminars include such subjects as: performance issues; team dynamics; organisational culture issues; different agendas; contracting; inappropriate referrals; ethics and dilemmas; diversity; advanced skills and techniques – problem solving; change of thinking; NLP in coaching; managing co-coaching and group sessions.

The route to accreditation

The programme results in a Level 5 ILM Endorsed Certificate. It meets the standards of the International Coach Federation (ICF) competencies and the Association for Coaching (AC) core capabilities.

Accreditation will review: the written assignment; completed Learning Log; Coaching Hours Log (minimum 12 hours of coaching); full participation in all face-to-face pre-assessment workshops; face-to-face and telephone supervision to reflect on coaching practice, gain insights and apply learning.
