Management Skills
Management Skills: A group of managers on a task
It’s a popular misconception that when an organisation chooses to focus on developing strengths and talents it can ignore individuals’ potential weaknesses or knowledge /skills gaps. A key part of successful Talent Liberation is the understanding and acceptance that these other areas need to be ‘managed’, so they do not become a hindrance to overall performance.
Our clients recognise the need for this and will take a variety of approaches to meet their needs at that time. Sometimes they will opt for a traditional ‘sheep-dip’ approach, where all participants in a broader learning programme will undertake a workshop on a specific topic.
Others choose to offer their participants more focused learning experiences, relevant to their needs. For example, one client has identified a need for ‘problem solving’ skills. However, rather than sourcing a generic training programme they have asked us to design a series of interactive workshops focused on different problem solving areas. Topics include:
- Creative thinking techniques
- Problem solving tools
- Problem solving methodologies
- Decision Making
- Innovation
In the past year Primeast has delivered skills workshops on the following topics:
- Problem Solving
- Decision Making
