Measuring Values – Cultural Transformation Tools (CTT)®

The ability of an organisation to build a corporate culture that attracts and retains talented people is rapidly emerging as the most important criterion for financial success. The Cultural Transformation Tools® framework measures the personal values of employees, their perception of the current culture values and their desired values in the organisation. It provides exactly the kind of measurement organisations need in order to ascertain how well their employees are engaged, and provides clear indications of the priorities for change that employees see.

Barrett Seven Levels of Consciousness Model

Research has shown that employees have approximately 41% of discretionary energy that they choose either to offer their employer or to withhold, depending on how well engaged they feel with their organisation, its purpose, its vision and its values. Primeast’s experienced CTT® practioners will help you examine and unlock your people’s engagement.

Beyond the Maslow Triangle

The conceptual thinking behind the 7 Levels model is based on Maslow’s hierarchy of needs and work from the Maharishi University of Iowa on expanding levels of consciousness.

Put simply Levels 1-3 correspond to Maslow. Level 4 is the start of self-actualisation, whilst Levels 5-7 relate to expanding levels of consciousness from focus on the individual through to planetary sustainability. The ideal organisation has values at each level.

Levels 1-4 Correspond to Maslow’s hierarchy of needs but applies this to individual and organisations. Organisations pay people, provide working conditions and manage as well as motivate their day to day affairs through levels 1-4.

Levels 5-7 Provides an open ended framework of higher level values. It is at this level employees feel a strong sense of engagement, loyalty, teamwork and community. Employees engage and willingly give their discretionary energy through levels 5-7.

Identifying current and desired values

Of major additional importance is that the process prioritises those areas that are important to employees in terms of cultural transformation and engagement, making it straightforward to scope out key projects that will assist transformation.

Valuing cultural diversity, diverse thinking, challenging the norms and constructive conflict to achieve outstanding performance. Change initiatives rely on cooperation, drive, focus and engagement to extract the benefits for the business.
