Leaders are far more effective when they play to their own strengths and tap into the strengths of the people they lead. Marcus Buckingham and Donald Clifton set out the compelling evidence for this in their book, “Now, discover your strengths”.
We can use diagnostics such as those offered via the above book to help managers understand what talents they bring to work. But in our experience, academic insight into our strengths is insufficient. We work with leaders through coaching, group workshops and our PurposeQuest events to facilitate a deep understanding of personal strengths in terms that are tuned to the individual.
