Talent Liberation in Regional and National Development

Talent Liberation in Regional Development

Our philosophy on Talent Liberation was originally established to help corporations maximise performance through the best use of the unique talent that each of their employees brings to the workplace. We have now discovered that Talent Liberation is also the route to growing prosperity and enterprise to regions and even to nations.

Developing leaders

We used Talent Liberation in many of our leadership development programmes and the four key words recognise, value, develop and use have become a mantra for managers around the world. In a nutshell, those we have spent time with know how important it is to recognise their own talents, understand how these talents add value, develop their talents into clear strengths and use them to add significantly more value to their organisations.

Regional and national development

In promoting Talent Liberation at conferences, we discovered that it was not just organisations who were interested in Talent Liberation. Our first appreciation was when a regional development agency in the UK heard our message and came to explore how Talent Liberation could be used in their task of growing the region’s economy.

Since then, we have worked with three regions in the UK on how to tap the talents of people in their regions. On top of this, two City Councils have shown an interest in this work.

Sharing Talents in Botswana - June 2009

Further afield, the British Council in Malawi believed Talent Liberation could be used to grow prosperity in their country and other parts of Southern Africa. They commissioned a Primeast tour of Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Botswana in 2009 to speak with leaders at workshops and events. This was hugely successful and they are looking to take talent liberation to other parts of Africa in 2010.

Those involved in regional and national development seem to particularly like the measurable nature of Talent Liberation whereby we can work with them to measure the case-by-case return on investment and the cumulative added value at regional or national level.
